Meaning
The mountain hides within the earth. Modesty carried through to the end brings success; excess is reduced, the humble are lifted.
A mountain hidden inside the earth: enormous substance, zero display. This is the only hexagram whose every line the tradition reads as fortunate — modesty is the one virtue that cannot be overdone, because it self-corrects everything else.
